I was looking into starting a remarketing campaign in facebook.

However from what I can tell I have to use an agency, is that true?

Have a great day

No - if you can figure out the tracking code you can do it yourself.

Unfortunately Volusion's Vanilla Google Analytics code does not support re-marketing.

Of course they have it implemented on their own site!

Not at all. You can do it yourself. I have.

Those companies won't hold your hand unless you have a spend of around $2k or more typically, but they will help you get it set up.

I've tried a couple services and haven't been real happy with their self managed interfaces. Adroll was the latest that I finally gave up on. I would add new ads into a campaign and they would never get impressions. Kinda hard to test that way. The rep couldn't fix it either. I had reasonable returns on this, but I still did better on Google remarketing. And I wanted something more than a set it and forget it campaign.

There was another company I tried that didn't have a way to eliminate people that were in my conversion audience. Useless. That was 2 years ago, though, so hopefully they've fixed that issue.

I plan to try simpli.fi next.

Google Analytics remarketing is possible in Volusion.

And the question was about facebook remarketing, so google is out of the picture for now.

My question was regarding Facebook any help would be appreciated.
Regarding remarketing with Google I am currently using adwords remarketing in Volusion and and it’s working fine.

Yup, that was my first response. The second was to Ritchey.

A few of the companies that provide self service on the facebook exchange:

I know someone that runs a facebook ad agency that very much recommends Perfect Audience.

I don't think any of these have minimum spends, but you'll get more service with higher spends. Actually, I'm not sure on Triggit...their site doesn't show spend requirements.

There are others that have minimum spends such as criteo and retargeter.
