Ok, now I have BING adwords going again I noticed that I am not getting any revenue reported for them. I thought I had the code setup but... it does not come with the sale revenue part included and they don't have any nice copy and paste or even plug in the numbers scripts for conversions.

They have a link that looks like it would help you set it up until you're there and you realize it is for people who can build their own scripts and that is not me. Does anyone have the script for tracking Bing Conversion Revenue that they would be willing to share with me? Also if you have it could you let me know if it goes in the same spot as their other script or somewhere different? Thanks again!

Add to article #134 and insert appropriate info from your specific account.

<script type="text/javascript">
var domain_id = '123456'; // enter your bing id here
var action_id = '123456'; // enter action id here whatever the hell that is
var bing_order_total = Order[3]; //order total if your using the Affiliate Commisionable Value
var bing_url_id = 'xxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxx'; //enter long alpha-numeric number found just after /tag/
var bing_pixel_img = '<img src="//flex.atdmt.com/mstag/tag/' + bing_url_id + '/analytics.html?dedup=1&domainId=' + domain_id + '&type=1&revenue=' + bing_order_total + '&actionid=' + action_id + '"width="1" height="1" style="visibility:hidden; display:none;"/>';
jQuery('body').append(bing_pixel_img);
</script>

Ok Marc, added script to article 134, but I had a few questions.

When I tried to save it on the open article it wanted me to choose an "Category ID". I had no idea so I went out to the admin view and pasted in the box and it saved without the ID. Is that OK? I am always cautious about pasting scripts into the admin after it broke a line on one of them after SE introduced.

Now, also all of my other tracking scripts are in article 130, so this one goes into another field than they are in? Where is this article being used?

Regardless, thanks again so much for sharing this! I had even asked Bing support but they didn't have a clue!

Honestly I have no idea what you are talking about. Just append it to the article. And never add a script from the front end quick edit always do it from the backend and with the bullshit editor turned off.

If I recall from past conversations, some people have different article IDs. It should go in the ROI Javascripts article. For my sites, Article 134 is an affiliate banners page.

Also, just to make you aware:

Order[2] = Payment Amount - The grand total amount for the order will be listed in this field.
Order[3] = Affiliate Commissionable Value - This field will list the amount of the order that an affiliate should be eligible to receive commission on. This is essentially a sub total of the order, excluding tax, shipping and handling charges or discounts.

That just depends on what you want in your numbers. Neither is wrong...just important to understand what data you are working with.

Jmadtyka/Mark_NY-Thanks, that must be the disconnect. Article 134 is the Affiliate Banner for me too! That what confused me. I will move it to the ROI article, which is 130 for me as well!

Thanks for for extra fields, I have them setup for Google but I wasn't sure if Bing supported that much detail or not? Does anyone know what metrics Bing supports? I suppose the Google script passes on the info to GA, right?

I will update ya all when I get mine up and running on what I get for the PLA campaign.

I may have simply made a typo with the 134 but the ROI article is the place to insert it.

Sorry for bringing up this topic, but where do you find the bing_url_id? I do not see any code referring to /tag/.

100percent - it has been a long time since I set this up but it seems that the URL ID was found in the URL at the top of the page while you're in your Bing AdWords account. If that's not it let me know and I'll look at mine again and try to see where it comes from. Good luck!

Brenda,
I found that if you set up a goal you can then view tag and it will give you the completed Java Script with everything you need.
See: http://help.bingads.microsoft.com/apex.aspx?product=bing_ads&market=en&sku=&query=ab50090&view=summary_reportinggoals&inst=1#

Gifty thanks! Unfortunately what I did not mention was that I dropped Bing advertising months ago. There was no match to our success on Google and I felt the $ would be better used added to our Google campaign. 😒. Makes me sad to think about the work to set it all up was wasted but it just never worked out in our categories.

I did not see the tag url, but hopefully the new bing universal event tracking code will pass along the information. Thanks all for the replies!

With the new Universal Event Tracker, the conversion values arent being reported, anyone have a fix for the new code?

Are you still referring to Bing? I have the new universal Google one if you need that.

Haha, yes. Still referring to Bing. None of the order values are being reported.

OK - here is what I have in my Article 130---Is this was you are using now? Mark (here) setup the second part that gathers the order totals. Not sure if it is "universal" or not but when my Bing Shopping worked the orders totals were working too.

I think the first part is from Bing and then the second part of code is the order totals. I just went through the code and plugged in the my own id codes and id numbers. Also you have to mark the dedup? in your settings too if I recall. It was a while ago so not sure if it was changed, but maybe it will help you get going in the right direction.

Good luck!
