View Full Version : Site Chat Options?

I wondering about initiating Site Chat, however, the Volusion implementation is only PC compatible and I am primarily a Mac guy. Are there other Chat apps out there that are good options? My thought is to have it on when I am working on the site, and perhaps I could offer assistance when I am available, but not holding actual hours, so if I step out for lunch it won't be available, but if I am working at 10:00 at night, I could answer questions if need be. I read the previous thread on this, and some feel it is a little creepy and there is some risk of bounce, but some of my products have multiple options I can configure that aren't listed on the site, so despite there being text to indicate as such, a chat option might better help make the conversion.

Just thinking today, that'll probably get me in trouble. :)

Provide Support - Does not have a timer

My notes:

Top ones seem to be:
Zopim - $14 per month
2 Reviews…
No integration with other programs (not using that now, but in the future)
No photo of operator, a Beta feature…
Has a Google translate feature.
Has #1 compared to Olark https://www.datanyze.com/market-share/chats/olark-vs-zopim

Olark - $15 per month 1 operator
Probably use...

Olark is very popular… Probably go with Olark.

May be charged for how many online, not per profile?

Interesting, supposedly 6X the sale rate for customers contacted via Chat.

And David's Bridal supposedly implemented it, and got a 30-50% increase in conversion rate, and 10-20% high order sizes.

Provide support charges per operator. You can have and many logins of this operator as you like and even install the script on multiple sites but all traffic will go to this one operator.

I use Online Chat Centers:

$7/month for two operators, 20 percent discount for yearly payment. Works good.

We use LiveHelpNow and it's great for us. We average over 15 chats a day now, and a lot more are technical in nature more than order status which is great for selling. The nice thing with LiveHelpNow is that you can use it on a mobile device as both an operator and a customer, and it has some really nice features like Teamviewer integration, CRM integration, and some nice analytics.

Thanks everyone for their replies. I'll look into some of these options. While I don't have dedicated people for this, it might be a benefit if offered on occasion, and my thought is it might reduce some emails we get.

Other reasons to add chat:

1. May increase conversion rates due to more credibility
2. Potential to use a timer to increase conversion rates
