View Full Version : 6.99 price?

Hi everybody, here's a question I've asked Support:
I'm trying to price some products at 6.99. They include VAT (tax) at 20%. If I set the price at 5.82 the total price comes to 6.98 and if I set it to 5.83 it comes to 7.00. Is there a way to get the total price to be 6.99?
Here's the reply:
The price of the product after VAT can only be changed by changing the VAT cost itself. Unfortunately the product price rounds up to the nearest hundredth and there is not a way to override this. I apologize for any inconvenience.

We can't change the tax rate(!) so just wondering if anybody has any ideas? Not being able to price a product at 6.99 seems weird to me.

Could you set the price to be 6.99, and then mark it as a non taxable product? Not sure if that would work for you or not, but it would set the price.

Thanks Cherish, but they are eBooks and must have VAT tax applied (UK law). 6.98 looks weird (but better than 7), so I've gone with that - seems very strange that I can't set the price I want!
