Thread: Google Analytics registering my visit from Houston vs. my location?

  1. #16
    Ditto re: exact vs. nearby.

However, 1100 miles is stretching it. I'm usually able to pinpoint precisely when/where I'm on. Else, what's the point of GA and Adwords?

I think that's me. If anyone would ever explain that last line of stuff to me, I could tell you for sure. I'm on that big basket... same page on my Droid.

Maybe Comcast is messed up today along with GA?

Edit post: Yep, that's me. The Elk Grove Village is right, albeit wrong.

Where did you find that at?

The live chat software tells me.

Thanks, Marc. I want that live chat software for the analytics. KKS, I called the plumber to fix GA.

That's it for me. Long and frustrating day. I'm going home. I'll try later from my house (also Comcast).

I hope it's straightened out by tomorrow. It's a little hard to measure the $ you're spending with wrong locations. 1100 miles... really!?

The live chat software is www.providesupport.com I couldn't live without it.

Thanks, reigny. I couldn't live w/o your chat either.

Seems fairly reasonably priced. Is it easy to install?

(I'm back in Chicago this morning via home PC)

Edit post: And I'm in Houston again on the work PC. Maybe Comcast biz customer IP addresses coming out of Houston?

Very easy, but something tells me you are already overwhelmed. Maybe you should put this on the back burner for now.
